How to Open a Drinking Coconut

Greetings beautiful soul!

I have spent the past day and a half stretching my brain (and the capabilities of  a sick little laptop) in creating a video to share one of the most heavenly drinks you will enjoy all season! In the end this PC woman borrowed a Mac and did my best to learn enough to edit and upload it here.

Have you experienced the pleasure of drinking coconuts?

Yes! Just divine aren’t they!

No! You are in for a treat. You may have seen them at the shop and never given them a thought. I hope after this video they are on your radar and you try them for yourself.

Who are drinking coconuts for? Everyone! Especially my fellow fitness ninjas at the park-you know who you are!

We are moving into the warmer months here in Australia so this could be your drink du jour of the summer.

:: Warning :: If you are uncomfortable with birth imagery – in particular a baby crowning- you will most likely dislike this clip. It includes some random gushing about the miracle of birth because that’s how I roll.

In the video I mentioned the ‘Doctrine of Signatures’ in regard to young coconuts. The Doctrine of Signatures is a philosophy I was introduced to in my early 20′s when I studied flower essences and herbs. (Before that I just knew it as my mother passing down natural home cures and common sense she had learnt from her grandmother.) Briefly, the Doctrine of Signatures is the mindful observation of plants to understand the healing properties available for use. What the plant looks like and where and how it grows can reveal what human ailment, organ or system that plant is suited to support.

Here is a great article speaking more of the Doctrine of Signatures if it calls to you.  http://www.naturasophia.com/Signatures.html

Enjoy your coconuts, nurture yourself + live inspired!

PS I would love to know what you think about drinking coconuts. How you like to enjoy them- smoothies, recipes, or as is like me?
